    Programs that provide educational and/or therapeutic opportunities for people who are interested in or who need to learn how to deal with their anger in a positive, functional way. Participants may include people who internalize their anger as well as those who act it out verbally or in behavior toward friends, family, children, employers or other people in their lives. Included are court-ordered and voluntary programs for people who are involved in domestic violence or child abuse as well as general workshops for people who are uncomfortable with the way they express their anger.

    Mental Health ServicesThe Anger Management program provides individual evaluations at Court request, and a 10-Week Group for men and women aged 21 and over. Group members can be mandated by Court or be self-referring, and receive counseling on recognizing the triggers for anger, methods for managing it, and strategies for reducing stress and removing themselves from situations which potentially result in anger, rage, and/or inappropriate behavior. Applicants seeking a Batterer's Group are referred elsewhere. The program runs for 10 weeks, and participants can cycle in at any point there is an opening, once they have completed their evaluation.     Support Group ServicesProject Equality provides competent responsible intervention with men who are abusive and/or violent in intimate relationships. The instructors' training is expansive and experiential, and the agency works within a coordinated community response system. Project Equality believes that with knowledge and practice a man can decide to make different choices and stop his abusive and violent behavior. Classes meet weekly. The classes teach the most current information about domestic abuse and violence and that men can stop all forms of abuse, address male and female stereotype belief systems, have interactive learning activities, and teach anger management and skill building.
