    Organizations that are actively seeking licensed attorneys who are qualified in a particular area of law (e.g., family law, bankruptcy law, consumer law, landlord/tenant law, intellectual property law) to provide pro bono legal services to low income clients or nonprofit organizations referred for this purpose. Volunteer attorneys may be asked to provide legal information, advocacy or referrals; prepare wills, guardianship/conservatorship papers, advance medical directives and durable powers of attorney; or represent clients in court.

Provide referrals to non-profits and civil legal service organization for low-income individuals seeking civil legal advise and/or representation. Free Legal Answers is a virtual online legal advice clinic. Qualifying users post their civil legal question to their state's website. Users will then be emailed when their question receives a response.     Legal/Court ServicesThe Committee on Courts of Appellate Jurisdiction of the New York State Bar Association has created a Pro Bono Appeals Pilot Program to provide needed representation in appeals in the Appellate Division, Third Department through the service of pro bono attorneys. In the Appeals Program representation will be limited to family and matrimonial law issues, including family offenses, custody and visitation, divorce, paternity, and termination of parental rights.
