|Education/Training Services||The Computers for Kids Program of Troy Area United Ministries runs an intensive summer program for low income and at-risk youth. High School students learn to rebuild and upgrade computer hardware and to install and run software. At the end of the program, each student takes home a fully loaded computer that he or she has rebuilt.

|Library Services||Instruction is provided for those who want to learn or perfect their skills in operating, programming, and/or utilizing computers. Guilderland Public Library's Homebound Book Loan program serves the residents of Guilderland, NY. This program allows residents to have books delivered and picked up by library staff volunteers on a monthly basis, to/from their place of residence. A library card must be issued to the responsible party. Library book requests are made by phone and a delivery and/or pick-up date is scheduled. Library materials available to patrons with visual and/or auditory disabilities. These materials, which can be borrowed, include books on CD or cassette tape, closed captioned VHS tapes and closed captioned DVDs. In addition, the library has a magnifier for patrons to use on books and/or newspapers with small print. Book Discussion Groups on various topics meet at the library.
