Provides one or two daily nutritious, home-delivered meals to older adults who are unable to shop or cook on a regular basis due to illness or frailty. Also provides seniors with daily interaction by a trained delivery person. Eligible seniors can receive financial assistance through Albany County Dept. for Aging or a Managed Long-Term Care provider (MLTC) or can be paid for privately.

Self-pay customers will have a short intake interview to assess dietary needs. If seeking financial support from Albany County Dept. for Aging or a Managed Long-Term Care (MLTC) provider, a more extensive assessment process will be completed by potential funder. Those who do not qualify for Meals on Wheels, but still wish to private pay for home-delivered meals may enroll in the private pay Meals on Demand program.
