General Information
Description of ServiceThe Senior Crime Victims Program provides assistance and support to older victims of crime: physical, sexual and emotional abuse, financial exploitation, fraud, neglect and abandonment. Develops and presents educational programming to community groups on senior crime issues, and provides information and referrals to appropriate local agencies. Assists in filing application claims with the New York State Crime Victims Compensation Board. Provides short term counseling, legal advocacy, and prevention and community education.
