General Information
Description of ServiceEnvironmental Health is responsible for routine inspections of all food service establishments in Schenectady County. This includes restaurants, bars, taverns, caterers, and fast food establishments. Inspections are completed on a risk-based schedule. One to two inspections are completed per establishment each year. Priority is given to higher risk establishments.The unit is also responsible for investigation of all food service illness and/or general food service complaints.
