General Information
Description of ServiceThe Albany County Department of Health offers immunization services for Albany County residents and college students. Outreach educational services are provided to professionals and to the community regarding vaccine preventable diseases and risks and benefits of immunizations. Assistance and follow up with school immunization requirements and surveys is provided.

Intake RequirementsCall for appointment. Referral is required for certain vaccinations including Yellow Fever and Rabies pre-exposure vaccines. These are not covered by standing orders per the NYS Department of Education.
Helpful TipsOffsite immunization clinics vary and are scheduled on a case by case basis for certain groups (such as flu clinics, hepatitis B clinics, or in the case of an outbreak of a vaccine preventable disease).
