Parsons Early Head Start (PEHS) provides early, continuous child development and health education, encourages parental involvement in program governance, and supports the family through connections to community services. The program provides low income families living in the City of Schenectady with comprehensive family health, child development education, socialization, family empowerment, and family and community partnership services to pregnant women and families with infants and toddlers. In addition, PEHS is licensed by the Office of Children and Family Services to serve 60 children in an extended day, day care center.

9:00 am-3:00 pm are federally paid, free, center hours
People who live in the County of Schenectady, are at or below poverty level (except for 10% of enrollees), have a child (ren) under the age of 3 or are pregnant. Foster children and families who have Social Security Income are automatically income eligible. Homeless families take precedence.
