Each series of parent education classes run for five consecutive weeks. Classes meet once a week for two hours. The Facilitator is available before and after class for one on one discussion.
The five subject areas discussed come from researched parenting curriculums and include:
Week one: IALAC (I Am Loveable And Capable) and encouragement –
Week two: Focus on “do’s” instead of “don’ts” –
Week three: Choices and working with children instead of against them –
Week four: Give children safe limits and self-control – Week five: Setting good examples and respecting feelings
These parenting classes are open to everyone in the general public and are at this time without cost.
