General Information
Description of ServiceThe Home Based Crisis Intervention (HBCI) Program provides an effective and efficient alternative to in-patient hospitalization and ER visits, where avoidable, by supporting families to remain intact, improving family functioning, providing tools to manage crisis and building safety within the context of families’ natural support systems. Involving the whole family in treatment as well as in every step of the decision making process maximizes the potential for mitigating the long term effects of trauma and other adverse childhood experiences by strengthening family relationships and supporting families’ ability to manage behavioral crises.

Intake RequirementsAvailable to families living in Warren, Washington and Saratoga Counties; At least one family member is willing to participate in 4-6 weeks of intense in-home services with identified child;

EligibilityWarren, Washington, or Saratoga children between the ages of
5–17 who are in psychiatric crisis and are at risk of in patient hospitalization.
