General Information
Description of AgencyLiteracy New York Greater Capital Region is an organization that provides free individualized instruction to English-speaking adults seeking help with basic reading and writing skills (from non-readers up to 8th grade level) or to speakers of other languages with conversational English. Trained volunteers provide two hours of individualized instruction, once or twice a week, in mutually convenient locations throughout the Capital Region.
